Yuanta Securities Holds Nasdaq Closing Bell Ceremony... Launches Free US Stock Price Service
Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong Yuanta Securities CEOs and Executives Participate Remotely, Deliver Video Messages
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Yuanta Securities announced on the 28th that it participated in the 'Closing Bell' commemorative event, a bell-ringing ceremony marking the close of trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market in the United States on the 22nd (local time). The 'Nasdaq Closing Bell' commemorative event is a countdown ceremony signaling the end of the regular trading session of the U.S. stock market (4 p.m. local time). On that day, an interview video featuring remote participation by executives and employees, including the CEOs of Yuanta Securities Taiwan, Yuanta Securities Korea, and Yuanta Securities Hong Kong, was broadcast from the Nasdaq Tower in New York.
Previously, Yuanta Securities Taiwan, Korea, and Hong Kong signed a license agreement with Nasdaq for the 'Nasdaq Basic Enterprise,' establishing a foundation to provide free real-time quotes for all U.S. stocks to investors in each country. Accordingly, Yuanta Securities Korea began offering the free real-time U.S. stock quote service called 'Real-Time Quotes Slim' to all customers starting that day.
Previously, to check real-time quotes for U.S. stocks, investors had to subscribe to a separate paid service. By default, investors were provided with quotes delayed by 15 minutes, but the time lag with real-time quotes caused inconvenience in making prompt investment decisions. The newly introduced U.S. stock 'Real-Time Quotes Slim' service provides free real-time quotes based on order and trade information collected from four Nasdaq-affiliated exchanges (Nasdaq Stock Market LLC, Nasdaq BX, Nasdaq PHILX LLC, FINRA). Customers trading U.S. stocks through Yuanta Securities can check and trade U.S. stock quotes in real time via the HTS 'T-Rader' and MTS 'T-RaderM' without any separate subscription.
With the introduction of the 'Real-Time Quotes Slim' service, the previously provided 15-minute delayed quotes will no longer be available. Additionally, customers who want order and trade information aggregated from all U.S. exchanges can subscribe to the paid real-time quote service 'Real-Time Quotes Pro' for $4 per month.
