[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] About 10 employees from the Agricultural Policy Division of Yangsan City, Gyeongnam, rolled up their sleeves to help harvest plums in the Yeongpo-ri area of Wondong-myeon.
According to the city on the 24th, this rural labor assistance involved Agricultural Policy Division staff visiting farms struggling to process plums in time during the harvest season to alleviate some of the difficulties in farm work.
Although the work was not easy under hot and humid weather, the employees worked hard, sweating profusely with a sense of mission to ease the difficulties faced by the farmers.
Seo Kyung-gyo, the owner of the Yeongpo plum farm, said, “Plums are a crop that suffers significant losses if the harvest period is missed, such as falling to the ground. It was difficult to manage with just my family, so the active cooperation of the public officials who came to help was a great help,” expressing gratitude.
