T'way Air Expands Benefits for Firefighters... "Domestic Flight Discounts Extended to Family Members"
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] T'way Air announced on the 24th that it will expand the scope of airfare discounts provided to current and former firefighter families.
Since March 2018, T'way Air has been offering regular domestic fare discounts to active firefighters and retired firefighters who are members of the Firefighters' Association. Starting today, the discount scope will be extended to include their families.
While family members have been eligible for regular discounts on international flight bookings, due to the current difficulties in traveling abroad freely, the company has added domestic fare discounts for families from this month to provide more practical benefits.
Firefighters receive a 25% discount during off-peak seasons and a 10% discount on weekends and peak seasons for domestic flights, and a 7% discount during off-peak seasons for international flights. To apply the discount, select "Firefighter" under personal identity discount during the passenger information input process when booking tickets.
After payment with the discounted amount, boarding passes will be issued at the airport counter on the day of travel upon presenting a firefighter ID or Firefighters' Association membership card, and for family members, proof of family relationship will also be verified.
A T'way Air official stated, "We decided to expand support to provide more practical benefits to firefighter families who dedicate themselves to the safety of the public," adding, "We will continue to support and cheer for the hard work of firefighters in the Republic of Korea with gratitude."
