Consumer Agency Pilots Automobile Review Committee to Enhance Expertise in Damage Relief
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] The Korea Consumer Agency announced on the 23rd that it will pilot the operation of the 'Automobile Deliberation Committee' to enhance expertise and fairness in consumer damage relief related to automobile defects.
This committee is a deliberation and advisory body established to objectively determine the causes and responsibilities of damage relief cases related to defects in new cars, used cars, maintenance, and parts received by the Consumer Agency.
It is composed of external experts from academia and related institutions, and the results of the deliberations are used as recommendations for agreement between both parties and as a basis for judgments by the Consumer Dispute Mediation Committee.
