[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government, together with WK New Deal National Group, will hold a 'Mask Donation Ceremony for Vulnerable Groups' on the 21st at the 8th-floor conference room 1 of Seoul City Hall.
The event will be attended by Oh Se-hoon, Mayor of Seoul; Park Hang-jin, Chairman of WK New Deal National Group; Hong Seung-chul, Pastor of Gangnam Donggwang Church; Yoon Young-seok, Chairman of Seoul Community Chest of Korea (Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest); and Kim Hyun-hoon, Chairman of Seoul Social Welfare Council.
WK New Deal National Group, which exports COVID-19 prevention supplies such as dental masks, donated 3 million dental masks to underprivileged neighbors in Seoul last April. Through this event, they will donate an additional 10 million masks, supporting a total of 13 million masks in the Seoul area, contributing to more thorough COVID-19 prevention.
In addition to Seoul, WK New Deal National Group is conducting social contribution projects to overcome the COVID-19 crisis by donating 50 million dental masks to local governments such as Gangwon Province, Jeollanam-do, Jeollabuk-do, and various welfare facilities, hospitals, and religious organizations nationwide.
