Gwangju Shinsegae Catches Two Birds with One Stone: 'Preventing Environmental Pollution and Supporting Stray Animals'
'Ice Pack Donation & Recycling' Campaign... Donation of Pet Cooling Mats to Animal Shelters
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. is launching a campaign that prevents environmental pollution and also helps stray animals.
Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Dong-hoon) announced on the 17th that it will carry out the 'Ice Pack Donation & Recycle' campaign with customers to expand eco-friendly shopping culture and support stray animals.
Ice packs are known to be one of the causes of environmental pollution as they do not decompose easily. Citizens also struggle with how to dispose of these ice packs.
This project collects such ice packs from citizens and manufactures them into cooling mats for pets, which will be used to help animals in stray animal shelters endure the summer.
Donations can be made at the exchange and refund desk on the basement level 1 of the main building of Gwangju Shinsegae until the 27th. Gwangju Shinsegae will cover all costs of producing the collected ice packs into cooling mats for pets.
