Gwangju Shinsegae and Jeonnam Province Hold 'Jeonnam Tourism Promotion Exhibition'
From June 18 to July 11 at Gwangju Shinsegae Main Building 1st Floor

(CEO Lee Dong-hoon) announced on the 16th that it will join hands with Jeonnam Province for regional win-win cooperation and operate the 'Jeonnam Tourism Promotion Exhibition' from the 18th of this month to the 11th of next month.
This exhibition will be held on the first floor of Gwangju Shinsegae Department Store under five themes including Jeonnam summer travel destinations.
It was prepared to provide citizens of the city and province with an opportunity to experience Jeonnam's major tourist attractions through photos and videos. Gwangju Shinsegae supported the exhibition space provision and installation costs.
The themes include Jeonnam tourist spots ideal for summer trips, safe tourist destinations where travelers can feel secure even amid the COVID-19 situation, award-winning works from past Jeonnam tourism photo contests, and major Jeonnam tourism products such as Namdo Hanbaki and Namdo Pass.
Additionally, promotional days for big events such as tourism content from 22 cities and counties in Jeonnam, Jeonnam International Ink Biennale, Jeonnam International Agricultural Expo, Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo, and Wando International Seaweed Expo will be held, providing promotional materials and souvenirs.
In particular, a photo zone featuring the blue sea of Jindo Jodo and the lighthouse of Hajodo was set up in the center of the exhibition hall, allowing visitors to the department store to enjoy the refreshing atmosphere of Jeonnam through photos.
Kim Byung-joo, Director of Tourism, Culture and Sports Bureau of Jeonnam Province, said, “We are grateful to Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. for their wholehearted support in holding the Jeonnam tourism promotion exhibition amid the difficulties faced by the tourism industry due to COVID-19,” and added, “We hope many citizens will travel to Jeonnam’s safe tourist destinations through this exhibition, which will help the local tourism industry.”
