"Seeking New Growth Engines" Kolon FnC Recruits External Talent
Executive Director Lee Ji-eun Leading LF Men's Wear Business, Director Kim Soo-jung Former Beanpole Designer
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Kolon Industries FnC Division (hereinafter Kolon FnC) announced on the 16th that it will recruit external talent.
Through personnel changes effective next month on the 1st, Kolon FnC appointed Executive Director Lee Ji-eun as the head of the CN Business Division (tentative name) and Director Kim Su-jeong as the Creative Director (CD) of the golf brands Zipore and Elrod. The CN Business Division oversees men's fashion and new businesses.
Executive Director Lee Ji-eun is a men's wear expert who has carried out various projects at LF for 13 years. After proving her skills with the renewal of Daks Gentlemen (2008), she expanded her scope by consecutively launching Jils Stuart New York (2011), Il Corso (2012), and Allegri (2013). She directed the entire men's wear sector within LF, including the gentlemen's casual division and Hazzys Men's, and recently oversaw the men's select shop 'Raumman' (2020). At Kolon FnC, Executive Director Lee is expected to demonstrate her capabilities by leading new businesses and aiming for a second heyday of Cambridge Members through the new division.
Director Kim Su-jeong is a 25-year veteran designer who has served as head of design for Beanpole Sports and Men's, as well as CD for Top Ten. After working as a freelancer since 2019, she became connected with Kolon FnC by taking charge of the apparel collection for Zipore, which debuted earlier this year. Her distinctive, stylish, and trendy designs contributed to Zipore's rapid growth, making her a target for recruitment. From next spring/summer collection onward, Director Kim will also serve as CD for Elrod alongside Zipore. She is tasked with leading brand differentiation through design in the increasingly competitive golf market.
