KOTRA Hosts Digital and Green New Deal Investment Attraction Event... "Strengthening Cooperation with Global Investors"
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] KOTRA will hold a three-day online event from the 16th focused on the Digital and Green New Deal investment attraction initiative.
This event was organized to strengthen investment cooperation with global companies in line with the full-scale implementation of the Digital and Green New Deal. It will center around webinars on the investment environment and opportunities in the Digital and Green New Deal sectors, as well as one-on-one investment consultations between Korean companies seeking investment and global investors.
At the webinar, which will be attended by over 500 major global investors, Jang Sang-hyun, CEO of KOTRA Invest Korea, will speak and introduce key policies and incentives related to the Digital and Green New Deal. Additionally, experts in four fields?smart healthcare, networks, green mobility, and renewable energy?will share their investment know-how in Korea and provide various insights.
Medical bio, recognized for its potential through the K-quarantine model, future new technologies based on world-class 5th generation mobile communication (5G) and information technology (IT) infrastructure, and future cars and green energy showing rapid growth due to the green economy transition are representative sectors currently attracting significant interest from investors targeting Korea.
At the online investment consultation, about 50 leading global investors from the U.S. in electric vehicle parts, fuel cells, private equity, and from China in online services will meet with 98 innovative Korean venture and startup companies. In this event, global automotive parts company A and leading fuel cell manufacturer B are each looking for companies with future car fuel cell and hydrogen fuel cell technologies. The U.S.-based global private equity firm C is seeking investment targets with new technologies in the digital new deal sector, while online platform leader D is exploring cooperation with companies possessing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and content.
The online investment consultation is expected to conduct around 100 investment meetings based on the investment cooperation demand from global investors, with many domestic innovative venture and startup companies possessing diverse technologies and content participating.
