Jangseong-gun Promotes 'Fluoride Application Project' for Children
[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 15th that it will promote a free ‘Dental Fluoride Application Project’ for children aged 3 and older attending daycare centers and kindergartens.
The county health center will visit 21 daycare centers and kindergartens in the area by the end of this month to apply dental fluoride to 510 children with prior consent from their parents to prevent tooth decay.
Children’s fluoride application is a simple and effective procedure that forms a fluoride layer on the tooth surface to inhibit bacteria and is known to have a preventive effect against cavities.
