Yangsan-si Launches Illegal Parking Enforcement SMS Alert Service... Applications Accepted Starting from the 21st
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 14th that it will provide an 'Illegal Parking Enforcement Text Alert Service' starting in July.
The alert service notifies applicants via mobile text message when their illegally parked vehicle is caught by the enforcement camera for the first violation.
The city introduced this service to prevent repeated enforcement cases caused by drivers not knowing they are in illegal parking zones and to encourage voluntary relocation rather than enforcement, focusing on citizen-centered administration.
Applications can be made from the 21st through the city hall website, smartphone app (Parking Enforcement Alert Service), the Transportation Department, and each eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare center.
However, absolute no-parking zones such as crosswalks, fire hydrants, bus stops, intersection corners, and school zones, as well as resident reports via the Safe Report app, will incur fines regardless of whether the service is received.
