Ulsan Office of Education Invests 4.1 Billion KRW to Install Sprinklers in 4 Special Schools
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 13th that it will install sprinklers in all four special schools in the region by 2023.
Under current law, the four special schools are not required to have sprinklers. The Fire Services Act stipulates that sprinklers must be installed only on floors above the fourth floor in educational facilities with a floor area of 1,000㎡ or more.
The Office of Education explained that the sprinklers are being installed proactively to ensure the safety of students with special educational needs and staff.

The Office plans to secure 4.1 billion KRW by 2023 and sequentially install automatic fire extinguishing devices at Ulsan Haengbok School, Ulsan Hyein School, Meaari School, and Taeyeon School.
