The attendees of this event included First Lady Kim Jung-sook, Carrie Johnson, spouse of the UK Prime Minister, Jill Biden, spouse of the US President, Mariko Suga, spouse of the Japanese Prime Minister, Joachim Sauer, spouse of the German Chancellor, Brigitte Macron, spouse of the French President, Am?lie de Montchalin, spouse of the President of the European Council, and Heike von der Leyen, spouse of the President of the European Commission.
Regarding the performance, First Lady Kim Jung-sook said, "Even Korean elementary school students express concern about environmental issues such as plastic waste," and added, "The message of the performance about the environmental problems facing future generations was impressive." Furthermore, she emphasized, "In a situation where the importance of climate and environment is growing, the international community must realize a vision for future generations through cooperation and solidarity."
First Lady Kim Jung-sook exchanged greetings with Mrs. Suga of Japan, whom she met for the first time that day, saying, "I am glad to meet you for the first time like this." To Jill Biden, she said, "I appreciate the warm hospitality of President Biden and his wife during President Moon's visit to the United States last month," and added, "I hope the deep friendship between Korea and the United States will continue unchanged."
When Mrs. Biden said, "Please come to the United States at least once," First Lady Kim Jung-sook responded, "I will gladly accept the invitation." She discussed the serious issues of education during the pandemic era and the educational gap caused by remote classes with Mrs. Macron of France. To Carrie Johnson, wife of the UK Prime Minister, she said, "I am pleased to have the opportunity to watch such a meaningful performance together."
