Seoul COVID-19 Confirmed Cases Reach 176 by 9 PM
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Seoul City announced that the number of new COVID-19 confirmed cases in Seoul was tentatively counted as 176 from 0:00 to 21:00 on the 12th, a period of 21 hours.
Compared to the same time frame, this is 28 fewer than the 204 cases on the previous day (11th) and 2 more than the 174 cases on the same weekday last week (5th). The total number of confirmed cases for the entire day was 208 on the 11th and 179 on the 5th.
Over the past two months, the daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul has generally been over 200 on weekdays, while on weekends, holidays, and early weekdays?affected by a decrease in testing?the number has dropped below 200, maintaining an overall daily average fluctuating around 200 cases.
During the recent fifteen days (May 28 to June 11), Seoul's daily average number of confirmed cases was 191, the daily average number of tests was 30,594, and the average positivity rate was about 0.6%.
During this period, the daily number of tests ranged from 33,000 to 38,000 on weekdays, 22,000 to 25,000 on Saturdays, and 15,000 to 17,000 on Sundays.
