Last July, the government, in collaboration with related ministries, established the 'Public Institution-led Innovation City Revitalization Plan' and identified ten major collaborative tasks for each innovation city. KEC is currently promoting a project worth a total of 12.1 billion KRW to build and operate a smart logistics center and logistics technology testbed on a total area of 11,250㎡ in Gimcheon, Gyeongbuk. This project restricts participation to small and medium-sized enterprises to develop Korean-style logistics technology and promote regional industrial development. As a comprehensive support organization for small and medium ventures, SBC plans to provide multifaceted support to participating companies and contribute to the successful operation of the smart logistics hub city development project by linking it with the 'Regional Key Industry Growth Promotion Project,' a core task being pursued this year.
At the signing ceremony, both organizations agreed to actively cooperate on support for the Gimcheon smart logistics center operators and logistics technology testbed resident companies, as well as on mid- to long-term joint projects to establish Korean-style smart logistics technology. SBC will be responsible for ▲promoting the smart logistics project and recommending participating companies ▲prioritizing facility investment support for companies selected as logistics center operators ▲supporting commercialization for testbed resident companies. KEC will be responsible for ▲building the logistics center and logistics technology testbed ▲selecting and evaluating operators and resident companies.
