Gokseong-gun Takes Initiative to Support Star Stores
Fostering Small Business Stores with Growth Potential into Star Shops
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Geun-gi) announced on the 8th that it will discover and nurture star stores to lead regional development.
The star stores will be selected within five locations through an open recruitment until June 15. The application requirement is for small business owners who have been operating a store in Gokseong-gun for more than six months as of May 31. Among the applicants, stores with outstanding technology, taste, creative ideas, a long history, or excellent tourism linkage effects will be selected.
Stores selected as star stores will receive a star store certificate and a plaque. In addition, 1 million KRW per store will be provided to be used where the owner needs, such as environmental improvement, marketing, prototype development, and BI development. Furthermore, extensive promotion of the star stores will be conducted through media and SNS to help them grow into representative local shops.
Applications can be submitted to the Gokseong-gun Urban Economy Division by downloading the form from the homepage's notice/announcement section and submitting it in person, by mail, or by email. For applicants, the first selection will be conducted through document screening and on-site inspection, and the final selection will be made through a second evaluation combining expert assessments by field and citizen evaluations.
