KB Kookmin Bank Stars Join International Organization 'Green Sports Alliance'
"Leading ESG Management in the Sports Sector through Climate Action for Future Generations"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sunmi] KB Kookmin Bank Stars announced on the 4th that they have become the first in Korea to join the Green Sports Alliance (GSA).
The Green Sports Alliance is an international organization that collaborates with about 600 global sports organizations on climate activities. Through this membership, KB Stars will implement ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management in the sports sector. Both parties, having formed a consensus on the role of sports for future generations, plan to prepare sustainable activities in terms of club operations and improve public awareness of environmental protection through future collaboration.
To commemorate KB Stars' first membership in GSA in Korea and in celebration of Environment Day on the 5th, the team will hold the event "Cheer for KB Stars and Hwanho (Environmental Protection)!" This event, aimed at sharing ideas for everyday environmental protection and raising public awareness, will be conducted by participants taking photos of their own cases or praiseworthy surroundings and uploading them on SNS with the event name as a hashtag.
