View original image[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) is actively promoting a temporary public parking lot construction project utilizing idle land to alleviate parking difficulties in Namak New Town.
According to the county on the 3rd, the temporary public parking lot construction project, which converts long-term idle land within the new town into parking spaces, has created 27 parking lots so far, with a total of 12 large vehicle spaces and 786 passenger car spaces.
To promote the project, full property tax exemption benefits were given to idle land without utilization plans for over a year, and consent for use was obtained from landowners.
The temporary public parking lots are free for anyone to use, and the county plans to additionally create temporary public parking lots with a total of over 250 spaces at 13 locations around Namak New Town.

Governor Kim San said, “The temporary public parking lot construction project, promoted by exempting property tax and leasing land, has a great budget-saving effect and benefits both landowners and residents,” adding, “We will continue to discover various projects to improve residents’ convenience and drastically improve the living conditions of the new town.”
