Gimhae City Extends Personal Local Income Tax for COVID-19 Affected Industries by 3 Months... Until August 31
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 3rd that it will extend the payment deadline for individual local income tax from the original May 31 to August 31 to support self-employed individuals struggling due to COVID-19.
The extension applies to businesses subject to gathering bans or business restrictions, small-scale self-employed individuals (below external adjustment threshold), and self-employed individuals in the lower income bracket with a sharp decline in sales whose financial income is 20 million KRW or less.
Professional occupations, real estate rental, loan businesses, and booming industries are excluded, while "Good Landlords" receive the extension benefit regardless of sales scale if they qualify.
