Seoul City Opens Summer Semester of 'Youth Life Design School'... 250 Participants Registered
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 3rd that it is recruiting 250 participants for the summer semester of the 'Youth Life Design School.'
According to Seoul City, the Youth Life Design School summer semester will be conducted online for 8 weeks from June to September. Participants can choose between two courses: the comprehensive life design course called the ‘Basic Course’ and the work-specialized course called the ‘Work and Life Course.’
The ‘Basic Course’ consists of various programs for young people to actively explore their career paths, including small group workshops on career exploration and social issues, as well as online thematic lectures.
The ‘Work and Life Course’ is a group activity where office workers gather to share ways to work healthily and live well. It is divided into the ‘Life’ course for early-career workers and the ‘Leadership’ course for middle managers.
All courses are free of charge, and applications can be submitted on the Seoul Youth Portal website from the 15th to the 22nd. The fall semester (operating from October to November) will also recruit and operate with the same target audience and method as the summer semester to ensure greater youth participation.

Jo Wan-seok, Head of the Youth Division, said, “As low growth and polarization trends continue due to COVID-19, young people’s anxiety and lethargy about the future are increasing. We will strive in Seoul City to help young people share their concerns with peers at the Youth Life Design School, find their own roadmap and confidence, and embrace hope for their future.”
