Hanwha Systems Provides 'Untact Career Mentoring' for Military Personnel in Island Regions
[Asia Economy Reporter Su-yeon Woo] Hanwha Systems announced on the 2nd that it conducted 'Soldier Love Career and Employment Mentoring' for about 50 soldiers of the 31st Army Division Jindo Battalion located in Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do. This mentoring was conducted untact via the video conferencing platform 'Zoom' as part of social distancing measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Hanwha Systems' youth talent development program, 'Soldier Love Career and Employment Mentoring,' is a social contribution activity carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of National Defense for five years since 2017. Soldiers can receive mentoring from employees in various desired job fields such as research and development, management, planning, and safety.

Hanwha Systems, together with the Ministry of National Defense, expanded the mentoring target areas to include island regions in the southwestern part of the country starting this year, so that soldiers in remote and isolated areas can also receive support benefits. A Hanwha Systems official said, "We structured the program to alleviate the employment concerns of soldiers about to be discharged and to provide practical help in strengthening individual capabilities," adding, "We will actively support young people facing employment difficulties to grow healthily in society."
