Ryukyung-gi, Jungnang-gu Mayor, Achieves 100% Fulfillment Rate of Promises in the 7th Elected Term
Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters Receives Highest Grade (SA) in 2021 Nationwide Basic Local Government Heads' Pledge Implementation and Information Disclosure Evaluation... Contributes to Achieving Highest Grade in Resident Jury and Electronic Democracy for Expanding Resident Communication
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) has achieved the highest (SA) grade in the "Evaluation of the Fulfillment and Information Disclosure of Promises by Basic Local Government Heads in the 7th Local Government" organized by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters.
This highest grade achievement is the second time following 2019.
The promise fulfillment evaluation was conducted based on five major indicators: 'completion of promise fulfillment, goal achievement, resident communication, web communication, and promise consistency,' and the district received good scores in all areas.
There were no promises that were deferred or discarded, showing a 100% normal progress rate, and the resident communication and web communication areas, which received high scores, are particularly noteworthy.
The operation of a resident jury group that directly evaluates promises and the broad adoption of e-democracy functions such as online surveys and online proposals to communicate with residents even during the COVID-19 situation greatly contributed to achieving the highest grade.
The district is systematically promoting 70 promises in five major areas under the vision of the 7th local government term, "Happy Future, New Jungnang": ▲ Vibrant Economic Jungnang ▲ Urban Development to Foster Growth Engines ▲ Future Jungnang of Education and Culture ▲ Warm Welfare Jungnang Together ▲ Cooperative Jungnang of Communication and Participation.
Currently, 42 out of 70 promise projects have been completed. Achievements improving residents' quality of life in various fields such as economy, culture, and welfare include the opening of the Bang Jeong-hwan Education Support Center, the largest education support center among Seoul's autonomous districts, the Reading Jungnang Project, the establishment of the 'Animal Welfare Team' to strengthen support for companion animals, the enactment of the Jungnang-gu Youth Basic Ordinance, and the Clean Jungnang Campaign to solve cleaning issues.
Additionally, projects such as the creation of the specialized food alley in Sagajeong Station and Sangbong-dong, the development of Mangwoo Station History and Culture Park, and the construction of the Environmental Education Center are expected to be completed by the end of this year.
In particular, the construction of a startup support center and a fashion support center (Smart Anchor), the integrated development of the Myeonmok Administrative Complex Town, and the relocation of SH Corporation are expected to elevate the level of local urban infrastructure through active promotion.
