KT Skylife Introduces Paid Leave for COVID-19 Vaccination
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] KT Skylife has introduced paid leave for employees receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
According to KT Skylife on the 31st, the company has granted paid leave on the day of COVID-19 vaccination starting from the 27th. Additionally, if adverse reactions such as fever occur, up to 2 additional days are granted, allowing employees to use paid leave for up to 3 days for both the first and second doses of the vaccine.
Yang Chunsik, Head of Management Planning at Skylife, stated, “In this situation where we are facing more difficulties than ever due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we hope the COVID-19 situation will end soon,” and added, “We will continue to take measures to protect the lives and health of all employees and to overcome national crises such as the spread of infectious diseases.”
Previously, companies such as Samsung Electronics, Naver, and KT also introduced COVID-19 vaccine leave. Vaccine leave has been expanding recently as the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH) recommended it in response to issues where employees experience difficulties working due to fever, pain, and other symptoms after vaccination.
