Yangcheon-gu Hosts 'Public-Private Cooperation 1200-Min Relay Discussion'
Relay Discussion Meetings for In-Depth Deliberation on Cooperation Agendas from the 21st to the 27th... Over 150 Agendas Discovered Since January Through Various Channels Including Cooperation Clubs and Contests
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) will hold a 1200-minute relay discussion from the 21st to the 27th for in-depth deliberation on cooperative governance agendas between the public and the administration.
Since January through April, the district discovered over 150 agenda items through various channels such as YouTube comments, cooperative governance clubs and expanded subcommittee members' agenda proposals, contests, and visiting discussion meetings. From April to May, related departments reviewed these agendas, and an online cooperative governance agenda advisory group (experts) provided consultations.
After this deliberation process, the agendas were first selected at the 'Cooperative Governance Yangcheon Council' foundation subcommittee meeting. In this upcoming discussion, cooperative governance committee members, related institution officials, residents, and relevant department staff will engage in more in-depth discussions.
The district aims to consider improvement or development plans promoted through public-private cooperative governance and seek solutions to problems and difficulties arising from project implementation through these discussions.
The relay discussion venues will operate with strict quarantine management measures such as temperature checks, mask-wearing, and ventilation, maintaining appropriate distances with small groups to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
After the relay discussions conclude, the 'Cooperative Governance Yangcheon Council' will select and approve the agendas to be submitted to the public forum. The final priority will be decided at the Yangcheon Value Square public forum (scheduled for June).
Subsequently, through a city-district agreement, municipal budget support will be secured to implement practical projects in 2022.
Mayor Kim Soo-young of Yangcheon-gu emphasized ESG at the '28th Yangcheon Residents' Day' ceremony held on the 13th.

Mayor Kim stated, “Among the ESG values representing Environment, Social, and Governance, the ‘G’ means ‘cooperative governance,’ not administration led solely by the government.” He added, “I hope the sweat shed together by residents and the administration through the 1200-minute relay discussion will become the foundation for the growth of cooperative governance in Yangcheon-gu.”
