[Asia Economy Online Issue Team] Broadcaster Ham So-won deleted her apology post regarding the TV Chosun variety show 'Taste of Wife' broadcast manipulation controversy.
As of the afternoon of the 18th, Ham So-won's Instagram account no longer has the apology post she had previously uploaded.
On the 8th of last month, after the 'Taste of Wife' production team admitted to broadcast manipulation and announced the season's end, she also apologized through Instagram.
Ham So-won posted a screenshot of the statement released by the 'Taste of Wife' side, acknowledging, "Yes, everything is true."
She said, "We filmed under exaggerated production. I was wrong. I will not make excuses," adding, "I did not want to bring shame to 'Taste of Wife,' which is like my family, so I expressed my intention to voluntarily withdraw, and yet I am sincerely saddened and apologetic about the outcome today."
Furthermore, she repeatedly apologized, saying, "I sincerely bow my head and apologize to the viewers who have watched over us through 'Taste of Wife'."
Earlier in March, Ham So-won was embroiled in various broadcast manipulation controversies, including allegations of a staged villa of her Chinese in-laws and a stand-in for her mother-in-law's phone calls.
After the broadcast manipulation controversy, Ham So-won and Jin Hua, who had been inactive, were once again embroiled in controversy during a live broadcast on the Chinese short clip platform Douyin on the 27th of last month.
During the broadcast, when a netizen asked if there was a script for 'Taste of Wife,' Jin Hua responded, "Isn't it enough that you all watch and enjoy it? What meaning does a script have? There is no variety show without a script. How can it proceed without a script?"
