Homeless Man Arrested for Wielding Knife at Pedestrians Near Seoul City Hall Station in Broad Daylight
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] A homeless man who wielded a weapon at a pedestrian in broad daylight in downtown Seoul was apprehended by the police.
According to the police on the 14th, the Namdaemun Police Station in Seoul arrested and is investigating homeless man A on suspicion of threatening and injuring a vendor selling the magazine "Big Issue" with a weapon in front of Exit 9 of City Hall Station in Seosomun-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, at around 1:20 PM that day.
Immediately after the crime, A fled toward Seodaemun Station but was arrested by the police about 10 minutes later.
The victim and A were strangers, and it is known that an argument broke out on the roadside just before the stabbing. The victim was transported to the hospital and is in a stable condition with no life-threatening injuries.
