[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) is conducting an online "Co-governance Agenda Resident Preference Voting" until the 16th.
A co-governance agenda is a project promoted through co-governance discussions involving public deliberation and consultation throughout the entire process of planning, execution, evaluation, and feedback, jointly carried out by the private and public sectors to solve community issues.
Since January, the district has been discovering co-governance agendas to be jointly promoted by the private and public sectors to solve community problems. Through various online and offline public forums such as the Open Agenda Discovery Group, website proposals, and the online public forum "Gangseo Co-governance Tongtong Hanmadang," a total of nine co-governance agendas were finally identified.
The district prepared the "Online Resident Preference Voting" to share the discovered co-governance agendas with residents and collect their opinions.
The nine agendas closely related to residents' lives are: ▲ Wise Home Life Happiness BOX ▲ Our Wi-Fi that works well in fields and mountains 'Deul.U.Wa~' ▲ Creating a safe light path with solar-powered LED building number plates ▲ Gangseo Festival enjoyed with pets ‘Gangseo Joa’ ▲ Universal Design for empathetic communication with people with developmental disabilities: Easy Language Picture Box ▲ Welcome to Hwagok~ 'Eo.Hwa.Ro' Complex Cultural Street Creation ▲ Creating a Zero Waste Park ▲ Training Global Sellers for Online Distribution ▲ Please provide child abuse prevention education for prospective and new parents.
Any Gangseo-gu resident can check the project details and vote for their preferred co-governance agenda on the Seoul M-Voting website policy reference board.
The co-governance agendas prioritized through voting will be executed as 2022 private-public co-governance projects after approval by the Gangseo-gu Co-governance Council.
A district official said, "We thank everyone who has given opinions and cooperated to discover agendas for regional development so far," and added, "We hope many residents will participate in selecting co-governance agendas that will change residents' lives."
