Nongshim Starts Selling Label-Free Baeksansu Water from This Month
By the end of the year, 50% of Baeksansu's total sales volume will be switched to unlabeled bottles
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Nongshim announced on the 11th that it has started selling label-free Baeksansu water from this month and plans to convert 50% of the total Baeksansu sales volume to label-free by the end of the year. Nongshim began selling label-free Baeksansu through online malls and home delivery, and plans to expand sales to offline channels such as large supermarkets in the future.
The label-free Baeksansu comes in two sizes, 2L and 0.5L, with the product name and water source engraved on the PET bottle, creating a simple design. Detailed product information is printed on the bundled packaging, and it is sold only in box units.

The label-free Baeksansu eliminates the hassle of removing labels from empty bottles, improving convenience for separate disposal and increasing PET bottle recycling rates. Additionally, it reduces the amount of film used for labels. Nongshim expects that converting 50% of sales volume to label-free will reduce film usage by more than 60 tons annually.
