Seoul Jongno Police Station Signs MOU with Korea Transportation Safety Authority Seoul Headquarters and Senior Welfare Center to Reduce Elderly Traffic Fatalities
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] On the 7th, ahead of Parents' Day, the Jongno Police Station in Seoul signed a business agreement with the TS Korea Transportation Safety Authority Seoul Headquarters and the Seoul Senior Welfare Center.
The Jongno Police Station, TS Korea Transportation Safety Authority Seoul Headquarters, and Seoul Senior Welfare Center have agreed to join forces to prevent traffic accidents involving the elderly by improving traffic environments and strengthening education, aiming to reduce the number of elderly traffic accident fatalities by 50% or less by 2023.
The Jongno Police Station plans to promote facility improvements at traffic safety vulnerable points and develop educational programs for the elderly to conduct non-face-to-face education.
