Korea Startup Promotion Agency Innovates Communication with 'Sintong, Jiktong, Ontong'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jonghwa] The Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development is innovating its communication methods through Sintong (神通), Jiktong (直通), and Ontong (溫通).
Last year, based on a 'happy organizational culture,' the institute operated 15 innovation and communication channels, resulting in a 26.1% increase in channel activity and laying the foundation for enhanced communication. This year, based on various internal and external opinions, they identified improvements including △setting communication slogans, △classifying purposes by channel, and △operating a hybrid of online and offline methods, and decided to implement them.
The specific communication methods were established as three main approaches: △Innovative communication (Sintong, 神通), △Communication across ranks (Jiktong, 直通), and △Online innovative communication (Ontong, 溫通).
As part of Sintong, the program called 'Sobhwajae (在)' means "a fun space for communication and harmony among employees," combining the concepts of space and enjoyment. It has become a program where employees communicate with each other across various locations, both online and offline, with participation from the head of the institute to department heads.
Through 'Jiktong,' employees switch roles to understand each other's perspectives, and in Ontong, they freely communicate through various events.
