Naju-si 'Senior Awareness Improvement Drawing Contest' Award-Winning Works Online Exhibition
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 6th that it will hold an online exhibition and SNS review event for the award-winning works of the 'Elderly Awareness Improvement Campaign Youth Drawing Contest.'
This exhibition, as part of creating an age-friendly city, showcases 20 award-winning works from the drawing contest held last December to bridge the generational perception gap and enhance understanding and interest in the elderly.
Under the themes of ‘Grandmothers in Our Neighborhood,’ ‘Grandfather’s Dreams and Challenges,’ and ‘If I Become a Grandfather or Grandmother,’ visitors can enjoy a variety of creative works through videos, ranging from lively and challenging images of the elderly seen from the perspectives of elementary, middle, and high school students to their own future selves as grandparents.
To participate in the SNS event, viewers can watch the exhibition on the official city hall YouTube channel by the 16th, leave a comment with their review, or post a link, a proof shot (screen capture), and a review on their own SNS, then comment ‘Participation Complete’ on YouTube.
Previously, from the 3rd to the 7th of last month, visitors could also post photos certifying their visit to the offline exhibition held in the lobby of the city hall main building’s first floor on SNS.
The city plans to give coloring books to 10 participants selected by random draw.

Mayor Kang In-gyu said, “I hope this exhibition will serve as an opportunity for the current generation, who have fewer chances to communicate with their grandparents than in the past, to break away from stereotypes about local elders and broaden their interest and understanding. We will do our best to create an age-friendly city where all generations are happy, matching the lively and challenging images of the elderly expressed in various works.”
