Namwon-si Chunhyanggolbae Association Selected as 'Best Agricultural Product Specialized Production Complex'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Namwon City in Jeonbuk announced on the 4th that the Chunhyanggol Pear Association achieved the remarkable feat of being rated the best for two consecutive years in the survey on the operation status of specialized agricultural product production complexes, receiving an incentive of 7% of the logistics costs for the export specialized complex.
The Namwon Chunhyanggol Pear Association consists of 35 farms cultivating an area of 46 hectares, producing about 400 tons annually, supplying major nationwide supermarkets and exporting to various overseas regions.
This evaluation was conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and carried out by the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), targeting 56 specialized agricultural product production complexes nationwide. The survey assessed the export ratio relative to production volume, complex scale and joint sorting ratio, quality, and safety.
Namwon Chunhyanggol Pears are high in moisture, vitamins, and potassium, with excellent taste and sweetness. Their marketability is recognized overseas, exporting about 250 tons to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, and other parts of the world, generating revenue of 600 million KRW, establishing themselves as a flagship product of Namwon City.
