[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] The global wireless earphone market is expected to exceed 300 million units in shipments this year.
According to market research firm Counterpoint Research on the 28th, the wireless earphone market this year is estimated to reach 310 million units, a 33% increase compared to last year.
Although the annual growth rate has slowed compared to last year's 78%, it still shows a solid double-digit growth trend.
By manufacturer, Apple is clearly leading. However, as demand for mid-to-low priced wireless earphones increases, Apple's market share is expected to shrink from 31% last year to 27% this year. Annual sales volume is projected to increase by 15%.
Sales of Xiaomi and Samsung Electronics are expected to increase by 35% and 39%, respectively. Market shares are estimated to remain similar to last year at 9% and 7%. Following them are JBL (4%) and QCY (3%).
By region, Latin America and the Middle East & Africa are expected to show growth rates of 69% and 57%, respectively.
