A Woman in Her 30s Found Dead While Self-Isolating for COVID-19 at a Hotel
Police: "No Suspicion of Homicide"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] A woman in her 30s who was self-isolating after being classified as a COVID-19 contact was found dead at a hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.
According to the Jungbu Police Station in Seoul on the 28th, a report was received around 6 p.m. the previous day that Ms. A (38) had died at a hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. Hotel staff, who found it unusual that Ms. A had not eaten all day, checked her room and then informed the police.
Ms. A had been self-isolating at this hotel since the 24th after being classified as a COVID-19 contact. It was confirmed that her test results were negative.
The police, after investigating the scene, judged that there was no suspicion of homicide and are currently summoning family members to investigate the exact circumstances.
