[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 26th that the Saesimo Volunteer Club (President Lee Jeong-seon) carried out a sharing activity on the 24th by preparing side dishes such as kkakdugi and pork jangjorim with care for neighbors in need living in Suncheon.
Suncheon City plans to deliver the donated side dishes (kimchi · jangjorim 260 boxes) to 12 vulnerable groups and social welfare facilities through non-face-to-face methods on the same day.
President Lee Jeong-seon said, “Even in these difficult times, I am always reassured because there are Saesimo volunteers who participate in volunteering to think of the marginalized neighbors in the region and convey warm hearts,” adding, “Although these are tough times, I will always rush to places in need of help.”
A city official said, “We thank President Lee Jeong-seon and the Saesimo volunteers who directly participated in making side dishes for neighbors in need despite the difficult situation due to COVID-19,” and added, “The city will also actively discover and support neighbors in need to take the lead in realizing a warmer welfare city.”
