CU upgrades Jureul Gimbap following Triangle Gimbap... Key ingredients increased by 115%
CU will release Tong Chamchi, Shin Jeyuk Bokkeum, and Jin Ganjang Bulgogi Gimbap on the 27th.
View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] CU announced on the 26th that following the major renewal of triangular kimbap, it will begin upgrading its rolled kimbap. Starting at the end of this month, CU will sequentially introduce products that dramatically enhance the taste and quality of rolled kimbap under the concept of ‘Sure! Rolled Kimbap.’ The lineup will be strengthened beginning with the release of three popular products?Tuna, Spicy Pork Stir-fry (辛Jeyukbokkeum), and Soy Sauce Bulgogi Kimbap?on the 27th.
The newly introduced rolled kimbap significantly increases the main fillings by up to 115% compared to existing products. In particular, various fillings are wrapped in two layers of seaweed or encased in a special tofu pouch infused with various sauces, enhancing umami flavor and texture. The rice used is the same Saecheongmu rice developed by the Jeollanam-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services, as used in the triangular kimbap. Saecheongmu rice adds a chewy texture and nutty flavor that further elevates the taste of the kimbap.
To emphasize the substantial and rich fillings of the rolled kimbap, the packaging features actual cross-sectional images of the product and applies an explanatory design that clearly conveys the composition of the fillings for each product, allowing customers to easily recognize their unique characteristics.
During May, CU will offer a 50% discount on the three types of rolled kimbap when purchased via Naver Pay. From the 2nd to the 4th, a quiz event will be held on PocketCU, CU’s membership app, where discount coupons for rolled kimbap will be given away. Additionally, CU rolled kimbap will be provided as meal menus for participants on the popular YouTube content “Kkondaehee’s Babmukja” corner, and multi-exchange coupons for rolled kimbap will be awarded through a comment event.
