According to the Changwon Stray Cat Protection Association on the 22nd, on the 8th, a resident in an apartment complex in Uichang-gu found a kitten estimated to be 8 months old severely injured.
Hospital examination revealed fractures in the jaw and left front leg, as well as bruises caused by a strong impact, and a 5-hour surgery was performed.
Residents of the apartment confirmed statements that two male students attending a nearby elementary school were witnessed abusing the cat by throwing stones at it.
The association has informed the school these students attend and requested animal protection education.
On the 1st of last month, a kitten's corpse and a wooden stick were also found in this apartment complex.
An autopsy revealed that the cat died from multiple injuries.

The police, who received the report, stated, "We are investigating, including reviewing the closed-circuit television (CCTV) within the apartment complex," and added, "If it is confirmed that the cat was intentionally abused, charges under the Animal Protection Act may be applied."
