View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] On the 21st, the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education and Chonnam National University signed a "Memorandum of Understanding for High School-University Exchange and Educational Program Linkage" at the president's office of Chonnam National University regarding the local innovation project based on local government-university cooperation.
The local government-university cooperation-based regional innovation platform is a government project that supports local universities in establishing cooperative relationships with their regions to nurture talent and play a key role in increasing youth settlement in the area.
Through this agreement, active exchange of human and material resources and joint operation of linked programs will lay the foundation for nurturing customized talent suited to local conditions.
The two institutions plan to mutually cooperate in operating high school curricula such as the high school credit system, support job training for teachers for career and college guidance, and operate middle and high school-university linkage programs.
They will also share human and material resources of universities participating in the regional innovation platform and jointly proceed with facility improvements and utilization for nurturing local talent.
The local government-university cooperation-based regional innovation platform is a government project that supports local universities in establishing cooperative relationships with their regions to nurture talent and play a key role in increasing youth settlement in the area.
In Gwangju and Jeonnam, 15 universities including Chonnam National University, Mokpo National University, and Suncheon National University participate to build an innovation foundation and link with high schools to nurture future talent tailored to the region.
The Provincial Office of Education is striving to expand admission opportunities for Jeonnam students, including a 60% increase in the regional talent selection for the medical field at Chonnam National University, through business consultations with various universities.
