NongHyup Bank Central Headquarters Employees Assist Farmers During Busy Farming Season

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] NH Nonghyup Bank announced that Senior Executive Vice President Seunghyun Jang and about 30 employees visited an apple orchard in Paltan-myeon, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi Province, which is struggling with labor shortages during the farming season, on the 19th to assist with farm labor.
On that day, the executives and employees worked hard picking flowers (fruit thinning) and carried out environmental cleanup activities such as collecting agricultural waste materials and discarded plastic films.
Senior Executive Vice President Seunghyun Jang of Nonghyup Bank said, "Due to COVID-19, foreign workers have been unable to enter the country, making the labor shortage during the busy farming season even more severe," adding, "Nonghyup Bank will conduct a nationwide relay of labor assistance to help ease the difficulties of farmers as the full-scale farming season begins."
