The county installed the vaccination center on the 30th of last month and conducted a joint inspection on the 1st to check whether the center met installation standards. On the 5th, a simulation drill assuming actual vaccination was completed with the cooperation of related organizations.
Accordingly, from the 15th, the county plans to administer Pfizer vaccines over four days until the 20th to 1,200 people out of 5,820 residents aged 75 and older who agreed to vaccination, using the first batch of vaccine supplies.
The daily vaccination target is set at 300 people, with a total of about 40 personnel deployed each day, including doctors, nurses, health workers, administrative staff, the Fire Agency, police, and military units. Vaccination hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays.
To facilitate residents' transportation, Jangheung-gun operates shuttle buses to and from the vaccination center from residents' towns and villages. At the same time, necklace-type masks are provided on-site to ensure strict compliance with quarantine rules such as mask-wearing and social distancing during residents' movement.
