Goheung-gun Dream Start Promotes Happy Virus Program
Customized Programs Including Tea Ceremony Education Conducted with 11 Childcare Facilities and Over 60 Participants
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Song Gwi-geun) announced on the 14th that it will promote the "Happy Virus Program" until December for children living far away who are using Dream Start.
This program operates by dispatching instructors to child-use facilities such as local children's centers, daycare centers, and elementary schools where five or more Dream Start children use the facilities, to meet the needs of children who find it difficult to participate in various programs due to regional characteristics.
Every year, the program is selected and conducted through a demand survey in desired fields at child-use facilities, and this year, nine instructors are dispatched to 11 child-use facilities, with about 60 children participating in programs such as traditional etiquette education, speech, soccer, total crafts, and art therapy.

An official from the county said, "We hope that providing various programs through instructor dispatch to children living far away, who have fewer opportunities to participate in cultural programs, will be an opportunity to relieve children's stress caused by COVID-19 as well as engage in hobbies," adding, "We plan to continue developing various programs that can enhance children's capabilities."
