Changwon City Opens Applications for Mini Solar Panel Installation Support Project... First-Come, First-Served for 400 Households
Minimum 85% Installation Cost Support, Monthly Electricity Savings of 5,000 to 9,000 KRW
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 14th that it will implement the ‘2021 Mini Solar Power Distribution Project,’ which raises awareness of the importance of energy through the spread of eco-friendly renewable energy and allows citizens to directly participate in power generation.
Mini solar power refers to small-scale solar power generation facilities that produce electricity by installing solar modules on apartment balconies, etc. Installation and dismantling are easy, so it can be relocated during moves like regular home appliances.
Of the installation cost of 750,000 KRW per unit, the individual burden is basically 116,400 KRW, and 78,900 KRW if 10 or more households in the same complex apply jointly.
If 20 or more households apply jointly, the cost is 41,400 KRW, and for low-income households, it is 36,400 KRW.
Eligible applicants are residents of apartments, one-room units, villas, and detached houses where balcony mounting is possible.
Applications can be made by calling the distribution companies announced on the city’s homepage. Support is provided on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 400 households.
The mini solar power supported this year has a capacity of 330W, producing electricity (32 kWh per month) sufficient to operate one double-door refrigerator (800ℓ).
Additionally, this results in a monthly electricity bill saving effect of 5,000 to 9,000 KRW.
