Gwangju Seo-gu, "Don't Move" Against Illegal Filming in Public Restrooms
Self-Made Simple Detection Card
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Daeseok) is making every effort to eradicate illegal filming in public restrooms.
Seo-gu announced on the 14th that it has produced a 'detection card' that can find illegal filming cameras.
Last month, the district conducted a joint special inspection with Gwangju City and the Western Police Station to prevent illegal filming in public restrooms, and while considering ways for residents to use restrooms with peace of mind, decided to promote this project.
The produced illegal filming detection card is small and light, about the size of a credit card, making it easy to carry. In addition, users of multi-use facilities can directly perform simple measurements in suspicious places, increasing its utility.
The usage method is to attach the detection card to the back camera of a mobile phone, turn on the flash, and then record a video. If there is a point that emits light during recording, there is a possibility that an illegal filming camera is hidden there.
With illegal filming in public places rampant nationwide recently, Seo-gu plans to distribute the illegal filming detection cards as quickly as possible to preemptively block related crimes.
