[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Daedong Hospital (Director Park Kyung-hwan) and Dongnae-gu, Busan (District Mayor Kim Woo-ryong) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the operation of the COVID-19 vaccination center.
This agreement was promoted by Dongnae-gu to ensure the smooth operation and safe vaccination management of the Dongnae-gu COVID-19 vaccination center, which is scheduled to open at Sajik Indoor Gymnasium starting on the 29th.
In addition to Daedong Hospital, representative medical institutions of Dongnae-gu such as the Dongnae Medical Association, Gwanghye Hospital, and Dongnae Bongsaeng Hospital also participated.
Daedong Hospital plans to actively support medical personnel for the vaccination center, medical cooperation for acute adverse reactions after vaccination, and all other matters requiring cooperation related to vaccination for Dongnae-gu residents.
Based on the only regional emergency medical center operating in the nearby area, a work support system will be established to ensure safe vaccination for local residents and efficient center operation.
The Dongnae-gu vaccination center will begin administering mRNA vaccines such as Pfizer and Moderna starting on the 29th, targeting seniors aged 75 and older, as well as residents, users, and workers of elderly facilities. The target group will be expanded in accordance with vaccine supply plans in the future.
Park Kyung-hwan, director of Daedong Hospital who attended the signing ceremony, said, “With the opening of the Dongnae-gu vaccination center, I expect the day will come soon when we can overcome COVID-19,” and added, “Daedong Hospital will contribute to alleviating concerns about the vaccine and securing herd immunity among local residents through safe and healthy vaccinations.”
Daedong Hospital completed the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination for its healthcare workers, including medical staff and nurses, as well as patient service employees, from March to mid-April.
