Shinhan Life Expands 'Insurance Claim Simplification Service' with Lemon Healthcare

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young]Shinhan Life announced on the 9th that it has expanded its simplified insurance claim service through a partnership with healthcare data platform company Lemon Healthcare. Lemon Healthcare, established in 2017, is recognized as a leading company in the healthcare platform sector.
The simplified insurance claim service is the industry's first service utilizing open API technology. It formed a technical partnership with the healthcare platform specialist 'MediBloc' and has been integrating services with Samsung Seoul Hospital, Seoul National University Hospital, and Yonsei Severance Hospital since July last year.
This service, using blockchain technology, allows users to check required documents, receive necessary documents, and file insurance claims with just a few clicks through platforms partnered with Shinhan Life, without the need to submit supporting documents via mail, fax, or mobile photo uploads.
Additionally, to expand the simplified insurance claim service, Shinhan Life formed an additional technical partnership with Lemon Healthcare and expanded infrastructure to enable service use at 27 hospitals, including Sinchon Severance Hospital.

A Shinhan Life official stated, "We plan to expand services that allow easy insurance claims without paperwork or visits by utilizing digital technology," adding, "We will continue to provide various new customer services centered on on-tact (online contact)."
