Gurye-gun, Recruiting 50 Hope Workers to Overcome COVID-19
Mitigating Employment Shock through Strengthened COVID-19 Prevention and Public Job Provision
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Sun-ho) announced on the 8th that it will recruit 50 participants for the 'COVID-19 Overcome Hope Work Support Project' by the 13th to respond to the deepening employment shock and economic crisis caused by COVID-19.
The eligibility criteria are those with a median income of 70% or less, assets of 300 million KRW or less, and who are 18 years or older with the ability to work. The county plans to prioritize the selection of residents who are vulnerable to employment, those who have experienced job loss or business closure due to COVID-19, and those in need of livelihood support due to the local economic downturn. Applications and inquiries can be made at the town and township offices.
The work period is about four months starting from the 19th, with a 5-day workweek and 4 hours per day, and the wage is approximately 900,000 KRW per month.
They are scheduled to be deployed in quarantine projects such as disinfection activities in response to COVID-19 at public institutions including the Health and Medical Center's vaccination center, screening clinics, and Gurye-gun Office.
