Mokpo City Hosts 'Mobile Street Play' on Modern Culture Theme
Starting from the 10th, Operated as a Monthly Regular Program
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Seunghyun] Mokpo City, Jeollanam-do, will hold the 2021 Saengsaeng Cultural Heritage Project "Mokpo Specialty Okdani! Visiting the Feast House!" on the 10th at the Modern History and Culture Space.
According to the city on the 8th, this event, hosted by the theater group Gaetdol, is a mobile street play that starts at 2 p.m. from Mokpojin History Park, passes through Modern History Hall 2 and the Mokpo Peace Statue of the Girl, and concludes at Modern History Hall 1.
This year, the city plans to operate two projects, "Mokpo Specialty Okdani! Visiting the Feast House!" and "Mokpo Open Port Time Travel," which were selected and will be regularly held on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from April to October as representative cultural heritage tourism products of the region.
"Mokpo Open Port Time Travel" consists of a cultural heritage tour with modern figures appearing and providing explanations, as well as a reenactment of the open port street and performances, and will be operated from the 24th.

A city official stated, "Through the Saengsaeng Cultural Heritage Project, we expect to provide citizens and tourists with high-quality cultural experience opportunities and contribute to revitalizing the local economy, which has been stagnant due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic."
