Choi Tae-won: "We Must Cultivate a New Entrepreneurial Spirit"... SK Group Celebrates 68th Anniversary
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Chey Tae-won, Chairman of SK Group, emphasized the need to cultivate a new entrepreneurial spirit while reflecting on the path taken by the previous generations on the occasion of the group's 68th anniversary on the 8th.
At the 'Memorial Day' event held on the anniversary, Chairman Chey said in his memorial address, "The spirit of serving the nation through business, which was always emphasized by the founding chairman Chey Jong-gun and the previous chairman Chey Jong-hyun as they pondered the development of society as a whole, along with the will for relentless challenge and innovation and talent development, holds precious meaning."
Since 2018, SK management has held Memorial Day events at the SK Memorial Hall in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, on April 8, the group's founding anniversary, to commemorate the Chey brothers, Jong-gun and Jong-hyun.
However, due to the impact of COVID-19, this year as well as last year, the commemoration was conducted via video conference for about 20 minutes from each person's office.
