Kim Sun-ho County Governor Takes Follow-up Actions After Dialogue with Provincial Residents
Efforts to Reflect Key Military Issues in Provincial and Government Policies at the Department Head Policy Discussion Meeting
Active Explanation and Proactive Recommendations to Relevant Agencies Decided
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Mi-seok] Gurye-gun announced on the 6th that it held a policy discussion meeting chaired by County Governor Kim Soon-ho the day before to review the county's key issues and decided to proceed without any setbacks following the dialogue with residents by Governor Kim Young-rok on the 1st.
At the discussion meeting, Governor Kim organized the suggestions raised during the dialogue with residents to ensure they are reflected in provincial policies. He also urged thorough preparation for the second supplementary budget of the county this year, vaccination for those aged 75 and older, and preparations for the audit of last fiscal year's revenue and expenditure settlements, emphasizing that no gaps should be left in these ongoing issues.
Additionally, considering the budget cycles of Jeonnam Province and government public offering and subsidy projects, he ordered to focus on securing budgets without missing the timing. He also instructed that the details of projects being implemented in each village should be sufficiently communicated in advance to the village heads to ensure smooth progress of local long-standing projects through understanding and cooperation.
In particular, the dialogue with residents included heated discussions on contentious issues such as the installation of the Jirisan cable car, the withdrawal of the Seongsamjae bus route approval, and the factual clarification of flood damage, which was evaluated as highly meaningful.
Among the proposed projects, the province responded positively to the participation of iCOOP’s Phase 3 project plan in Jeonnam Province’s “Well-Aging Human Healthcare Valley” project, which integrates life, healing, and wellness, signaling a proactive response.
The county plans to closely cooperate with related organizations to ensure that these major issues are reflected in provincial and government plans and that solutions can be found.
Governor Kim Soon-ho emphasized, “Please ensure that the matters discussed at the policy discussion meeting for department heads are implemented timely without any leakage,” and added, “Through organic cooperation between departments, please make meticulous efforts to enhance the efficiency of county administration and ensure that the outcomes are fully delivered to the residents.”
