Gangbuk-gu Investigates and Addresses Causes of Damage to School Forest Trees
Applications Can Be Submitted via Email or Fax to the District Office Park and Greenery Division
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Kyumsu) is operating a ‘Living Area Tree Diagnosis Private Consulting’ service targeting multi-use living area green spaces such as school forests, welfare, and youth facilities.
The tree diagnosis private consulting service precisely investigates the causes of damage to trees caused by pests, improper pesticide use, natural disasters, etc., and provides effective prescriptions such as appropriate pest control methods and tree management techniques.
Private tree diagnosis experts from tree hospitals participate in the consulting.
The service is free of charge. However, pest control or treatment based on the consulting results is not provided, and privately owned green spaces and trees outside multi-use living area green spaces are excluded.
Applicants can fill out an application form and submit it to the District Office’s Parks and Greenery Division via email (jeje88@gangbuk.go.kr) or fax.
If an application form is needed, it can be obtained by calling the Parks and Greenery Division of the District Office. Even when applying by fax, prior phone inquiry is required.
The analysis data after consulting will be used as basic data for future forest pest policy materials and system improvements by the Korea Forest Service.
The district expects that this project will improve the efficiency of pest control work and establish a professional diagnosis system for living area trees.
